After having acquired several years of consultancy experience with major consulting firms such as EY and Deloitte, Sandeep is now an independent consultant with his own practice (puREsource partners) and with SQ Consult.
Sandeep has worked in more than 20 countries while leading several high-profile projects (50+) for clients such as World Bank, European Commission, UNIDO, IFC, IEA, EBRD, UNEP, UNDP, GGGI, AfDB, AFD, ADEME and DEFRA.
For these international bodies, he has managed assignments around green finance (such as International Development Finance Club’s Climate Facility, GCF readiness program and UNIDO’s flagship programmes on Eco-Industrial Parks and RECP focusing on investments in SMEs), energy access (like the SE4ALL & Lighting Africa initiative), sustainable energy (such as advising governments to develop country level Low Carbon Development Strategies) climate change mitigation and adaptation (including evaluation of the UNFCCC’s Climate Technology Centre & Network, CTCN, and work with MDRs to flow up on G20 Financial Stability Board TCFD recommendations launched in 2017), cleaner production and circular economy (such as contributor to the landmark UNEP Green Economy Report).
Sandeep holds a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi and a master’s degree in Environment and Energy Management from an academic cooperation between Ecole des Mines de Nantes, Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM) and Kungliga Tekniska högskolan (KTH) Stockholm.
Sandeep is fluent in English and has working knowledge of French.
