Asier Larretxea is an expert in Sustainable Construction and Sustainable Developments. His recent work includes development of the Sustainble Energy Plan for Province of Gipuzkoa in the Basque Region and evaluation of the renewable energy plan in the same region. Other recent work includes the development of solar thermal legislation for Chile, market analysis on district heating and cooling, and development of a tool to assess the energy use on new urban developments. In addition to his consultancy work, Asier is working in concept development, designs and implementation of energy efficiency and renewable energy measures for buildings and urban areas. Asier among others works with BREEAM and Green Building Tool assessments (GB-Tool).

Asier has a Msc. in Urban Environmental Management, specialized on Sustainable Construction and Energy in the Built Environment from Wageningen University in The Netherlands and concluded his studies on Landscape Architecture and Urban and Regional Planning at that same University. He also graduated as Agriculture Engineer (Msc) at the Public University of Navarra (Spain).
