Yvonne Deng

Yvonne has advised public and private sector organisations on energy and climate questions, including governments, NGOs, private companies, development banks and the European Commission. Her engagements have ranged from creating global energy system decarbonisation roadmaps to advising individual countries on their climate mitigation policies.

Yvonne was lead author of the ‘The Energy Report’ for WWF International, one of the first visions for a global sustainable energy system. She also managed two global renewable energy resource studies published in scientific papers and accessible to the public through Shell’s Global Energy Resources Database. Yvonne previously co-led, and today still frequently supports, the Climate Action Tracker, which provides independent and real-time assessments of countries' progress under the Paris Agreement and the impact on expected global temperature increase.

Yvonne co-created the open data portal on corporate action at CDP, as well as leading the project which laid the foundation for the UN's Global Climate Action portal. Since 2022 Yvonne has been supporting the government of Liechtenstein on their transparency reporting to the UNFCCC.

Yvonne is an expert at using MS Excel(+VBA) for data analysis and modelling in a consulting context and has trained hundreds of consulting professionals now working across multiple companies in the energy space.
